Another Day....

These posts are definitely getting more sporadic. I feel like all I do these days is write or type letter! I have tried to send Jess at least one letter every day. That, plus all the packages, and emailing everyone to keep them informed takes a ton of time! Good thing time is something I have a lot of!! Well summer has hit in Montana. It is getting very warm here, but it sure is beautiful. Looks like it will be a nice summer. I plan on getting outside with Ethan as much as possible. I am sure we will be doing some hiking up on our land! I can't wait to take Jesse exploring up there. Well hope everyone is doing ok -- Ethan and I are holding up! We sure miss and love you Jesse!

Jesse Made It.

Well as most of you probably know, Jesse has made it safely to Iraq. From the one time I got to talk to him (for about 2 minutes) and from his first email he sounds like he is doing just fine. It makes me feel so much better to know he is ok. Ethan and I and Grandma Jill and Aunt Shannon had a nice time at the Support Our Troops Rally. It was nice to be around other people who had loved ones who are deployed. Sometimes I feel so alone since I am not anywhere near a military base. I do have a co-worker from Fort Lewis whose husband is deployed ( Hi Kelly!) so it is nice to have someone to talk to about it. I contacted the head person at the group called Montana Supports Our Troops (or something close to that) and I am going to try to link up with her and volunteer some time sending care packages, etc. Speaking of packages, I need to get some in the mail for Jess! I am planning on overloading him with mail...too much is better than too little right? Well hopefully he will get to check this blog soon --- and hopefully I will get to talk to him soon as well. We love and miss you Jesse!! Be safe and stay strong!

Another Day....

Well it seems as though now the days just all run into each other. One is hardly different than the other for me. I think I need a hobby, or a job! It is hard to focus on anything besides Jesse being gone when your mind has all this time to wander. I need to start keeping myself more busy! Ethan is definitely a handful, but hanging out with him just isn't the same as having adult conversation and brain stimulation! Jesse is bound to leave from Fort Bragg anytime. For security purposes they can't give him an exact date. It will more than likely be within the next week. Once he leaves, I think the realization that he is gone will sink in. We won't be able to talk on the phone all the time and it will be an adjustment. He is keeping in high spirits and trying to stay positive. That is all any of us can do right?! Well Jess, if you don't get back to this site for awhile, I will understand. Just know we all love you and are thinking of you. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Thank you for doing the selfless job of defending our freedom. We love you!
